  • On Decomposed Subsonic's debut BLAUE LOWEN, he takes the minimal house down into the lower tones. "Introduce," for example, revels in its bass, while "Sinus" has a lighter melody to counterbalance the beat. Lyrics find their way onto the title track, and some funk onto "Border." And, as if to play against type, "Computermusik" is made entirely of vocal utterances -- pretty fun, actually. But "Phase" goes back to minimal, and "Answer" keeps that mood going. But "Inside" brings the funk back, and that might be a hint of romance creeping into "Time." "Digital Stroppy" ends the album on a more drifting note, and a grand time was had by all.
